Firstly, we want to assure you that if you've had this problem, it's rare but we can almost ALWAYS pinpoint the issue and get it sorted. If not, we give you a full refund. No questions.
We understand how frustrating it can be when things don’t work as expected, and we’re here to help. There are a few possible issues that are causing leaks.
General:
- *They weren’t washed before being worn:* Washing prior to wear helps activate the absorbent lining so it can perform at its best. If they haven’t been washed yet, I’d recommend giving them a quick wash and trying again.
- *Worn with a pad:* If a pad is added, it can interfere with the UnderSwim's fit, wrapping around the pad instead of creating a secure seal against the body. This could be causing the leaking as well.
*UnderSwim/ UnderDance*
- *Worn too low on the waist:* It’s important that the absorbent lining sits snugly over the right area to do its job. If they sit too low, the lining can end up too far back, which may cause leaks. For UnderSwim and UnderDance, see the attached pictures—it’s a small adjustment that makes a big difference!
- *Could be too big:* If the underwear isn’t a close fit, it can’t create a proper seal. This could leave gaps around the gusset that allow leaks to escape. This occurs only if the underwear is a complete size or more too big.
Please note also that when trialling UnderSwim in a bath or similar, if the wearer deliberately bears down hard on the layers of lining they can leak. This isn't the sort of action the undies are designed for. Like any spongey sort of fabric, if they're squeezed or strongly compressed they can release liquid. Of course, if the wearer is simply sitting around a pool on a sun lounger for example, they won't leak, but bearing down on them is not advisable.
